Écume Nue takes its name from the French for sea foam — écume — and for bare, undressed skin — nue. Two words for the same moment: the goddess of beauty rising from the water off the coast of Cyprus, wearing nothing but the light.
We began on Cyprus, at Petra tou Romiou — the rock where, in the myth, Aphrodite was carried to land on a wave of foam. It is the most natural place in the world to make lingerie: an island that has celebrated the beauty of the body for three thousand years.
Our lace is premium leavers lace, sourced within Europe. Every set is cut in small ateliers across the Mediterranean and finished by hand — bar-tacked straps, hand-set trims, silk linings. We make in small numbers, so each piece gets the attention it deserves.
